Signal distributor Sentech and the Communication Workers’ Union (CWU) have reached a wage agreement, the union said on Friday (5 October 2012).<\/p>\n

“The annual salary adjustment (is) to be 10 percent of the basic salary with effect from July 1, 2012,” it said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Workers would receive a monthly housing allowance of R825 from July 2012. This would increase to R1000 from January next year.<\/p>\n

There would be no retrenchments until June next year.<\/p>\n
