The towers will extend across four precincts within the Foreshore area on the strip of land between the new freeways.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the proposal, the different heights and location of the towers will ensure that the iconic views of Table Mountain and the sea from the harbour and public spaces are retained.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/208389\/a-look-at-the-sleek-new-skyscraper-proposed-for-cape-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cullinan Square<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208401\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1796\" height=\"1012\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02.jpg 1796w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02-768x433.jpg 768w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Cullinan-Sq-02-1200x676.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1796px) 100vw, 1796px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The latest proposal from\u00a0RAS Architects\u00a0is for a 192 metre tall skyscraper office building called Cullinan Square &#8211; on what is currently only known as \u2018Site D\u2019 in the city.<\/p>\n<p>According to RAS, the 42 floor tower is designed to be a mixed-use development, and would be the tallest building in Cape Town \u2013 trumping the yet-to-be developed\u00a0Zero2one, which is expected to reach 148 metres.<\/p>\n<p>RAS said the orientation and shape of the tower has been designed in collaboration with engineers to deal with the winds \u201cin an economic manner\u201d \u2013 while also keeping the city\u2019s famous views of Table Mountain and the surrounds.<\/p>\n<p>It will features a hotel component that occupies the highest part of the tower, with a sky lobby, restaurant, spa and observation deck at the top of the building.<\/p>\n<p>The ground level retail component promotes public activity and acts as an economic boost for the development. In addition to pedestrian access, the retail component is also supported by the basement parking levels, nearby public transport hub, surrounding office buildings, and the 20 levels of prime office space in Cullinan Square, the group said.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/199616\/a-look-at-the-new-skyscraper-planned-for-cape-town\/\">The Vogue<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/The-Vogue-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-199636\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/The-Vogue-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"1600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/The-Vogue-01.jpg 900w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/The-Vogue-01-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/The-Vogue-01-768x1365.jpg 768w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/The-Vogue-01-576x1024.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Developers and architects FKJW are also planning to add to the Cullinan Square and Zero2one with a third skyscraper in Cape Town called The Vogue.<\/p>\n<p>The building is a\u00a042,000 m2 mixed-use development that is one floor lower (31 floors) than Cape Town\u2019s current tallest building, the FNB Portside building which sits adjacent to it.<\/p>\n<p>FWJK said it expects to launch The Vogue to the market in early 2018 and it is expected to sell out as rapidly as its neighbouring tower, 16 on Bree.<\/p>\n<p>The residential apartments in The Vogue will offer a range of studio, one bed, two bed and three bed apartments including top level penthouse apartments which will all enjoy panoramic views over the Atlantic Seaboard.<\/p>\n<p>Ground floor shops will provide an active retail edge to along all three streets including restaurants and other retail activities necessary for inner city living, the developer said.<\/p>\n<p>Construction is expected to commence by March 2018 and will be competed by October 2020.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/227473\/a-look-at-the-modern-a-r1-5-billion-tower-coming-to-cape-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Modern<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/The-Modern-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-227477\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/The-Modern-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"1080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/The-Modern-01.jpg 640w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/The-Modern-01-178x300.jpg 178w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/The-Modern-01-607x1024.jpg 607w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The Modern\u2019 is a R1.5 billion development expected to be completed within the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>According to developers, Ingenuity Property, the building will be located on the corner of Bree, Loop and Hans Strijdom Avenue, and will combine the old with a new \u2018post-modern\u2019 style.<\/p>\n<p>The building will feature a high-rise glass structure on top of a podium base, with a \u2018twist\u2019 to the facade, adding shape.<\/p>\n<p>It will offer 24 luxury apartments, a 230 room 5-star hotel, and 814 square metres of retail space.
