Westcon SA, a member of the global Westcon Group<\/a>, has announced that Jacques Malherbe<\/a> has tendered his resignation as chief executive officer.<\/p>\n

Malherbe\u00a0led Westcon SA as CEO for over seven years and was instrumental in Westcon SA becoming the valued \u201cdistributor of choice\u201d it is today, the group said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Keith Rich<\/a>, SVP AIME Region, will assume the role of interim CEO until a permanent appointment is made in the next few months.<\/p>\n

Dean Douglas<\/a>, Westcon Group CEO and President said:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019d like to thank Jacques for his commitment and leadership of Westcon SA and we wish him well in his future endeavours. We are actively seeking a replacement for Jacques to support Westcon SA\u2019s growth and value strategy. An announcement to that effect will be made in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n

Westcon SA is a distributor of converged communications solutions; focusing on tailored voice, security, mobility, storage and power solutions.<\/p>\n
