{"id":252211,"date":"2018-06-18T11:16:28","date_gmt":"2018-06-18T09:16:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=252211"},"modified":"2018-06-18T11:16:28","modified_gmt":"2018-06-18T09:16:28","slug":"jse-trading-delayed-on-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/252211\/jse-trading-delayed-on-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"JSE trading delayed on Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Johannesburg Stock Exchange delayed the start of equity trading on Monday, citing technical issues.<\/p>\n<p>Before the market opened, the exchange noted that no open orders were appearing on all EQM instruments and advised clients to refrain from booking any reported trades on equity markets.<\/p>\n<p>The equity market resumed trading at 11h00.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContinuous trading will commence at 11:00 and Off-Book trade reporting will be available from 10:40. The remaining trading sessions will follow according to the standard schedule for the day,\u201d said the JSE.<\/p>\n<p>A timeline of events on Monday:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10:18 -Clients are advised that the equity market will move into an opening auction at 10:40. Continuous trading will commence at 11:00 and Off-Book trade reporting will be available from 10:40. The remaining trading sessions will follow according to the standard schedule for the day.\u200b<\/li>\n<li>09:45-Even though the equity market trading system is still starting up, client connectivity can be established. We will communicate in due course regarding revised trading session times including a shortened opening auction of 20 minutes. Next update at 10:15. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.\u200b<\/li>\n<li>09:15 &#8211; Clients are advised that the we are still busy re-starting the EQM services. Next update at 09:45. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.<\/li>\n<li>08:50 &#8211; Clients are advised that we will be re-starting the equity market. We will advise once you can re-connect. Revised trading session times will be published. We apologise for the inconvenience\u200be caused.<\/li>\n<li>08:25 &#8211; Clients ar\u200be advised to not book any \u200breported trades on the equity market until further notice<\/li>\n<li>08:06 &#8211; Clients are advised that the start of the equity market will be delayed. We will provide a further update at 08:30.<\/li>\n<li>07:40 &#8211; Please be advised that there are currently no open orders showing on all EQM instruments. We are busy investigating the cause.
