CNN Money<\/a> and PayScale.com<\/a> recently published a list of great careers, showing that biomedical engineers, marketing consultants and software architects have the best jobs.<\/p>\n

The rankings – which are based on which jobs offer big growth opportunities, great pay, and work that’s satisfying – are drawn from statistics from PayScale.com, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and research from CNN Money.<\/p>\n

The rankings show that the technology market still offers some of the best job opportunities.\u00a0 Here are the top tech jobs, according to the survey.<\/p>\n

Software Architect<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Software architect<\/p><\/div>\n

A software architect is essentially a senior and experienced computer programmer who is responsible for issues like design choices, technical standards and the bigger picture.<\/p>\n

According to the survey, the position gives employees the \u201copportunity to create and shape a company’s computer strategy. More responsibility also brings higher pay for a designer who wants to trade a PC screen for the conference room.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CNN Money survey states that the growth in data is creating great opportunities for database administrators.\u00a0 \u201cDBAs are among the top-growing jobs on our list. They also command high paychecks, compared even to other tech jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

What makes this job great, according to the CNN Money survey, is that developers have the freedom to go on their own or work for a company. \u201cAnd with a technology boom that sees no end in sight, firms are having a hard time filling positions,\u201d said CNN.<\/p>\n

Even big businesses know that high-level tech issues can be a Pandora’s box of trouble. A sharp IT consultant with the right specialty will command a premium rate and solve a company’s problems – ensuring future work down the road,\u201d CNN Money said.<\/p>\n

According to CNN, network engineers are riding high on the data boom: \u201cPositions are out there for qualified professionals along with the opportunity for rapid advancement\u201d.<\/p>\n
