{"id":258747,"date":"2018-07-16T12:24:39","date_gmt":"2018-07-16T10:24:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=258747"},"modified":"2018-07-16T12:25:24","modified_gmt":"2018-07-16T10:25:24","slug":"old-mutual-launches-new-rewards-programme-all-the-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/258747\/old-mutual-launches-new-rewards-programme-all-the-details\/","title":{"rendered":"Old Mutual launches new rewards programme &#8211; all the details"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Financial services company Old Mutual has announced the launch of its customer loyalty programme &#8211; Old Mutual Rewards.<\/p>\n<p>Consumers can earn rewards points for building financial knowledge and making sensible financial decisions, Old Mutual said in a statement on Monday (16 July).<\/p>\n<p>Point earning activities include completing financial assessments, using online calculators like the education savings or debt repayment calculators, and completing education modules on Moneyversity, Old Mutual\u2019s online financial education hub.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Rewarding good financial behaviour is key to improving our nation\u2019s savings culture and helping every South African &#8211; not only Old Mutual customers \u2013 to take charge of their own financial future,&#8221; said Jean Minnaar, general manager of product solutions at Old Mutual.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We believe that by encouraging certain behaviours, we will shift mindsets from consumerism to responsible planning and wealth creation. Among the behaviours we particularly hope to encourage are effective day-to-day money management, financial knowledge-seeking to support sound financial decision-making, gaining insight into your own financial needs, financial planning and goal setting.
