[Reuters]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Following a spate of scandals involving chartered accountants, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/city-press.news24.com\/News\/first-eskom-now-vbs-accountants-institute-sets-its-sights-on-ramavhunga-20180725\">the\u00a0South African Institute of Charted Accountants is now set to investigate VBS Mutual Bank chief executive Andile Ramavhunga<\/a> <\/strong>for again bringing the profession into disrepute.\u00a0Ramavhunga was implicated in the R1.5 billion looting at the bank, but claimed he knew nothing of it. The retired judge presiding over the inquiry said this must stop as it is interfering with the business of the inquiry.
