Telkom<\/a> has appointed industry veteran, Attila Vitai<\/a> as managing director of Telkom Mobile, effective Wednesday (14 November 2012).<\/p>\n

Vitai takes over from Telkom chief financial officer, Jacques Schindeh\u00fctte<\/a> who has been the acting Telkom Mobile MD.<\/p>\n

Vitai is an experienced telecoms veteran, having spent twelve years at Motorola<\/a> as a vice president in Europe and eight years as CEO of two large Vodafone<\/a> businesses in Hungary and Turkey.<\/p>\n

Vitai holds an MBA which he obtained from the Henley Business School at the University of Reading. He is also a qualified chartered accountant had has obtained qualifications in BA Accounting and Finance as well as being certified in general accounting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am confident that Attila\u2019s vast knowledge and experience of this industry will translate into positive growth in our mobile arm. We welcome him to Telkom and wish him all the best in his new endeavour,\u201d said Telkom Group CEO, Nombulelo Moholi<\/a>.<\/p>\n
