{"id":271289,"date":"2018-09-13T15:51:21","date_gmt":"2018-09-13T13:51:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=271289"},"modified":"2018-09-13T15:51:21","modified_gmt":"2018-09-13T13:51:21","slug":"voluntary-separation-packages-at-telkom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/broadband\/271289\/voluntary-separation-packages-at-telkom\/","title":{"rendered":"Voluntary separation packages at Telkom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Telkom will egin offering employees voluntary separation and early retirement packages from this week.<\/p>\n<p>The company told <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/business-telecoms\/275443-telkom-offering-employees-voluntary-separation-and-early-retirement-packages.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyBroadband<\/a> that it\u00a0will offer voluntary separation and voluntary early retirement packages to qualifying employees from Friday, 14 September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cumulative effect of past regulatory decisions has resulted in Telkom subsidies of approximately R70 billion to South Africa mobile operators,\u201d said Telkom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTelkom has implemented multiple initiatives to ensure its continued competitiveness in this context.
