{"id":27306,"date":"2012-11-26T15:28:43","date_gmt":"2012-11-26T13:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=27306"},"modified":"2012-11-27T09:52:48","modified_gmt":"2012-11-27T07:52:48","slug":"fnb-retracts-ebucks-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/27306\/fnb-retracts-ebucks-rule\/","title":{"rendered":"FNB retracts eBucks rule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"FNB\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1730-FNB-First-National-Bank\">FNB<\/a> has removed one of the new <a title=\"eBucks\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/5500-eBucks\">eBucks<\/a> rules it implemented earlier this year, and will backdate earnings to those affected, according to a <a title=\"FNB removes eBucks rule\" href=\"http:\/\/www.moneyweb.co.za\/moneyweb-financial\/fnb-removes-new-ebucks-rule\" target=\"_blank\">report from MoneyWeb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The rule in question isn&#8217;t the criticised opt-in for marketing condition attached to FNB&#8217;s eBucks awards, but rather the condition that a customer&#8217;s qualifying cheque card swipes exceeded their monthly ATM cash withdrawals.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, eBucks CEO, <a title=\"Joland\u00e9 Duvenage\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/3374-Jolande-Duvenage\">Joland\u00e9 Duvenage<\/a>, said that the bank is constantly monitoring all the rules that it put in place and will review them if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Duvenage echoed FNB&#8217;s stance on its rewards terms and conditions, where it said it makes changes to the rewards programmes once a year &#8211;
