{"id":2741,"date":"2012-01-16T14:45:23","date_gmt":"2012-01-16T14:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=2741"},"modified":"2012-01-16T14:46:34","modified_gmt":"2012-01-16T14:46:34","slug":"gijima-raises-bee-status","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/it-services\/2741\/gijima-raises-bee-status\/","title":{"rendered":"Gijima raises BEE status"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gijima Holdings, the JSE-listed information and communication Technology Company, has raised its BBBEE status from AA level 3 to AAA Level 2, following the verification process conducted during November and December 2011 by Empowerdex, the SANAS Accredited independent rating agency.<\/p>\n<p>Gijima\u2019s improved rating comes as a result of the assessment made in various areas, including procument procedures, ownership, employment equity, socio-economic development, skills and enterprise development.<\/p>\n<p>The improved scorecard puts Gijima\u2019s procurement recognition level at 125%; it will also contribute to existing and prospective clients\u2019 BBBEE scorecards.<\/p>\n<p>The company has a combined black shareholding of just over 46%, a 60% black representation at board level and 40% at executive management level.
