{"id":274827,"date":"2018-10-02T11:42:10","date_gmt":"2018-10-02T09:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=274827"},"modified":"2018-10-02T11:42:10","modified_gmt":"2018-10-02T09:42:10","slug":"shoprite-mobile-money-service-now-open-to-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/274827\/shoprite-mobile-money-service-now-open-to-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"Shoprite mobile money service now open to businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shoprite has announced that businesses can now send money to multiple receivers through its Shoprite Money service.<\/p>\n<p>Shoprite Money is a mobile transactional banking service which is available to everyone &#8211; even those without bank accounts.<\/p>\n<p>It acts as a mobile wallet which enables customers to deposit, withdraw or send money as well as buy groceries at any till point in all Shoprite, Checkers, Checkers Hyper and Usave stores.<\/p>\n<p>Customers can also send money and buy electricity or airtime, provided they have funds in their Shoprite Money account.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A business of any size can pay staff salaries or make other multiple payments safely, conveniently, and for free, using the Shoprite Money wallet,&#8221; the company said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Shoprite Money is assisting businesses with their payroll needs and giving employees easier access to their salaries. All transactions are free with the exception of a R9.95 fee that only applies to cash withdrawals. The Shoprite Group absorbs all other costs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Businesses using the service have a transfer limit of R5,000 per employee per day. The monthly limit is R25,000 per receiver of the money.
