{"id":278327,"date":"2018-10-18T16:08:57","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T14:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=278327"},"modified":"2018-10-18T16:08:57","modified_gmt":"2018-10-18T14:08:57","slug":"standard-bank-is-launching-a-mobile-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/278327\/standard-bank-is-launching-a-mobile-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Standard Bank is launching a mobile network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Standard Bank has told <a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/banking\/280591-standard-bank-to-launch-an-mvno-in-south-africa.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyBroadband<\/a> that it plans to launch a <span class=\"ILfuVd\">mobile virtual network operator<\/span> (MVNO) in South Africa soon.<\/p>\n<p>A Standard Bank spokesperson said that while they will launch soon, they cannot share any additional details at this point.<\/p>\n<p>The move from Standard Bank comes after multiple MVNOs \u2013 mobile virtual network operators \u2013 have launched services in the country.<\/p>\n<p>This includes FNB\u2019s mobile offering, FNB Connect.<\/p>\n<p>FNB Connect runs on Cell C\u2019s network, and offers users voice and mobile data services.
