{"id":282497,"date":"2018-11-07T10:33:54","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T08:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=282497"},"modified":"2018-11-07T10:33:54","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T08:33:54","slug":"cell-c-appoints-former-mcdonalds-sa-finance-head-as-cfo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/282497\/cell-c-appoints-former-mcdonalds-sa-finance-head-as-cfo\/","title":{"rendered":"Cell C appoints former McDonald&#8217;s SA finance head as CFO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cell C has appointed Zafar Mahomed as the company\u2019s new chief financial officer.<\/p>\n<p>Mahomed will commence his role as CFO at the beginning of December 2018.<\/p>\n<p>According to Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santon, Mahomed will bring &#8220;extensive financial, management and business experience&#8221; to the role, having 20 years of finance and business experience in several multinational and listed organisations from a cross section of industries.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Cell C, Mahomed was CFO for McDonald\u2019s South Africa, with prior roles at Ellerines Holdings, Johnson &amp; Johnson and several senior roles at Tongaat Hulett. He has also held various directorships.<\/p>\n<p>Mahomed holds a Masters in Business Leadership from UNISA and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
