{"id":285824,"date":"2018-11-21T09:38:37","date_gmt":"2018-11-21T07:38:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=285824"},"modified":"2018-11-21T09:38:37","modified_gmt":"2018-11-21T07:38:37","slug":"awesome-black-friday-2018-deals-from-fnb-connect-and-ebucks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/285824\/awesome-black-friday-2018-deals-from-fnb-connect-and-ebucks\/","title":{"rendered":"Awesome Black Friday 2018 deals from FNB Connect and eBucks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FNB and eBucks have unveiled their\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/news\/black-friday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Black Friday<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0specials for 2018 &#8211; which will run for two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>FNB said that in 2017 it processed an average of over 800,000 card transactions per hour &#8211; which peaked at 1.5 million card transactions between 16h00 and 17h00 &#8211; during last year\u2019s Black Friday shopping spree.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The transaction volumes give a firm indication that Black Friday has become one of the important days for South African consumers,&#8221; said FNB Retail CEO, Raj Makanjee.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Many see this as an opportunity to stretch their budgets amid unrelenting pressure on household income.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Consumers who have set aside a budget will be in a better financial position and we encourage those who need to use credit to do so responsibly.
