Allied Electronics Corporation (Altron)\u00a0has advised that chief operating\u00a0officer of Powertech, Leon Viljoen\u00a0has resigned from the company to take up the position as cluster manager,\u00a0southern Africa and country manager, South Africa of ABB.<\/p>\n
His resignation will be with effect\u00a0from 28 February 2013.<\/p>\n
“Powertech and ABB have enjoyed a close association with each other over many years and Leon\u00b4s\u00a0move to ABB will no doubt strengthen this relationship, as well as provide further business\u00a0opportunities for both organisations.<\/p>\n
“Leon has been involved in various management capacities within the Powertech group and was\u00a0largely responsible for developing and growing the transformers division into the market leader in\u00a0South Africa, which it is today,” the group said.<\/p>\n
