Fortune<\/a> has listed its top 100 companies to work for in the US, with global search giant, Google<\/a>, claiming the top spot.<\/p>\n

It marks the fourth year in a row that Google ranks first on the list, and “not just for the 100,000 hours of subsidized massages it doled out in 2012.”<\/p>\n

This year, Google added three wellness centers and a seven-acre sports complex, which includes a roller hockey rink; courts for basketball, and shuffle ball – and horseshoe pits, Fortune said.<\/p>\n

Despite not adding any new employees since last year, Google currently employees 34,311 people in the US, with 700 positions open.<\/p>\n

Business analytics software company, SAS<\/a>, ranked second thanks to its strong push for creative freedom amongst its employees.<\/p>\n

SAS employs 6,373 people in the USA, and has 6,481 employees outside the US. According to Fortune, the company has 59,047 applicants looking fill the 328 available positions.<\/p>\n

The top 10 best companies to work for also features NetApp<\/a> (6th) and Ultimate Software (9th), while Qualcomm<\/a> just missed the top, coming in at 11th.<\/p>\n

Software giant, Microsoft<\/a> only managed 75th place, behind microprocessor manufacturer, Intel Corp.<\/a> in 68th.<\/p>\n

To determine the best companies to work for, Fortune partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct an extensive employee survey in corporate America.<\/p>\n

The survey was conducted across 259 firms, with response from more than 277,000 employees at the companies.<\/p>\n
