Mxit<\/a> has officially appointed three C-level executives this week: Vincent Maher<\/a> (pictured) as Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Davies<\/a> as Chief Operating Officer, and Richard Newton<\/a> as Chief Financial Offer.<\/p>\n

Maher is well known for founding Motribe and selling the mobile company to Mxit, after which he served as Mxit\u2019s vice president of product strategy and growth.<\/p>\n

In his new position Maher will be responsible for product strategy, growth, UX, marketing and communications, the apps platform and APIs, Mxit Reach, search and discovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s a broad portfolio but all connected by our growth strategy for 2013,\u201d Maher told BusinessTech.<\/p>\n

Davies served as Mxit COO from November 2012. He was previously a management consultant at Teim Ventures, and the MD of Global Telecom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before becoming Mxit CFO Newton was involved in the finance department of World of Avatar<\/a> and served as the finance manager of The Body Shop.<\/p>\n
