{"id":302794,"date":"2019-03-01T13:56:15","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T11:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=302794"},"modified":"2019-03-01T14:02:06","modified_gmt":"2019-03-01T12:02:06","slug":"how-much-it-costs-to-service-a-porsche-vs-renault-duster-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/motoring\/302794\/how-much-it-costs-to-service-a-porsche-vs-renault-duster-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"How much it costs to service a Porsche vs Renault Duster in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Renowned motoring journalist, Malcolm Kinsey, has published a new <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kinseyreport.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a> <\/strong>looking at the replacement part costs of South Africa&#8217;s car of the year finalists for 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The list of <a href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/motoring\/285764\/these-12-vehicles-are-in-the-running-for-south-african-car-of-the-year-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">finalists includes<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Porsche Cayenne<\/li>\n<li>Lexus ES<\/li>\n<li>Mitsubishi Pajero Sport<\/li>\n<li>Mercedes Benz A Class<\/li>\n<li>Nissan Micra<\/li>\n<li>Volvo XC 40<\/li>\n<li>Honda Civic Type R<\/li>\n<li>Alfa Romeo Stelvio<\/li>\n<li>Hyundai Kona<\/li>\n<li>Suzuki Jimny<\/li>\n<li>Suzuki Swift<\/li>\n<li>Renault Duster<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The winners are expected to be announced in early April 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Prices are based on the middle of the range models of each vehicle which means there may be a variance in prices, Kinsey said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For example, a headlight could range from halogen to multi-LED focusing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Likewise, steel wheels or mag wheels could be fitted \u2013 so the prices submitted are middle of the range and for a guide only.
