A quarter of SMEs say lack of knowledge is the main obstacle to using such tools.”

For corporations, there were no significant obstacles to using such services, Goldstuck said.

“Digital mapping is proving to be the hidden secret weapon of South African business,” said mapIT chief executive officer Etienne Louw.

“The research underlines the extent to which large and small businesses, alike, depend on digital maps not only for navigation and tracking, but also for efficiency, productivity and security,” he said.

More mapping news

Google Maps back on iOS

Google Maps not en route to iOS

Apple’s map flub in the battle for mobile control

Apple loses Samsung, Google patent case

Apple Maps leaves users unimpressed

A new survey shows the growth of digital mapping among South African corporates and SMEs as a business tool.

[31
843,5037,26,3121,607
post-30326","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-it-services","tag-arthur-goldstuck","tag-digital-mapping","tag-headline","tag-mapit","tag-world-wide-worx
["GET
