[Business Day]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Critics have slammed the Eskom tariff hike granted by Nersa, saying it rewards corruption, and will put consumers under even more pressure. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/af.reuters.com\/article\/southAfricaNews\/idAFL5N20U4OL\">Economists are noting that even wiuth the above inflation the hike, government will still have to keep bailing Eskom out.<\/a><\/strong> [Reuters]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>EFF supporters are threatening critics with rape and violence &#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymaverick.co.za\/article\/2019-03-08-eff-threats-of-violence-the-electoral-act-has-real-bite-if-the-authorities-dare-to-take-action\/\">and South Africa&#8217;s electoral Act makes provision for parties that promote or condone such behaviour to face punishment<\/a><\/strong>. Parties could be restricted from campaigning, or even de-registered from the elections. Charges include rape, attempted rape, kidnapping, robbery, assault and attempted murder.
