83% of which are residential properties and 17% non-residential.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 6.7 million residential properties were tracked, valued at R5.4 trillion &#8211; a figure which is heavily supported by the R2 trillion Gauteng market.<\/p>\n<p>Freehold properties remain the largest percentage of this figure with 67%; estates follow at 18.3% and sectional title with 14.2%.<\/p>\n<p>The group found that the Western Cape and Gauteng feature the larger proportion of properties and total value with more than 50% of the national market value captured in these two provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Lightstone said that the most valuable suburbs are also found in these provinces, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Western Cape<\/strong> &#8211; Cape Town; Sea Point, Rondebosch and Fresnaye;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gauteng<\/strong> &#8211; Bryanston, Morningside and Midstream;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The one notable exception is Umhlanga in KZN which has seen significant investment over the last decade.<\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Value-South-Africa.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-314792\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Value-South-Africa.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Value-South-Africa.png 614w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Value-South-Africa-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Most valuable streets and suburbs in Cape Town<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lightstone also published data looking at the most expensive streets and suburbs in Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p>The highest valued street being Beauvais Road in Bel Ombre with an average value of R43.7 million per property.<\/p>\n<p>Llandudno is the suburb with the highest value of R19.3 million per property on average.<\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Suburbs.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-314794 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Suburbs.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Suburbs.png 584w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Suburbs-300x206.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like previous years, the Cape Town\u2019s property growth remains above the national average,&#8221;
