{"id":31631,"date":"2013-02-23T22:50:07","date_gmt":"2013-02-23T20:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=31631"},"modified":"2013-02-23T22:51:21","modified_gmt":"2013-02-23T20:51:21","slug":"flickswitch-making-sim-management-easy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/31631\/flickswitch-making-sim-management-easy\/","title":{"rendered":"Flickswitch making SIM management easy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Managing thousands of SIM cards can be a cumbersome and expensive exercise. <a title=\"Flickswitch\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/7245-Flickswitch\">Flickswitch<\/a> spotted this gap in the market, and has built a successful business on making it easier for companies to manage large numbers of SIM cards.<\/p>\n<p>Flickswitch founder, <a title=\"Kees Snijders\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/7246-Kees-Snijders\">Kees Snijders<\/a> explains that the risks of open-ended SIMs on a post-billed model can be huge, and they make it easy to manage the SIM cards and cap the risk on data spend.<\/p>\n<p>Snijders, who founded the company in 2008, said that they currently have 400 active clients and manage tens of thousands of SIMs daily. However, this is only the start.<\/p>\n<p>Flickswitch, which already generates R15 million in revenue annually, is looking to aggressively expand the business into Africa. \u201cOur sights are firmly set on other African countries,\u201d said Snijders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMachine to Machine (M2M) and telemetry solutions are still very basic on many networks.
