{"id":32115,"date":"2013-02-21T16:31:15","date_gmt":"2013-02-21T14:31:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=32115"},"modified":"2013-02-21T16:32:28","modified_gmt":"2013-02-21T14:32:28","slug":"digicore-points-to-earnings-decline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/it-services\/32115\/digicore-points-to-earnings-decline\/","title":{"rendered":"DigiCore points to earnings decline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"JSE\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1663-JSE-Limited\">JSE<\/a>\u00a0listed telematics technology group, <a title=\"DigiCore Holdings\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/5155-DigiCore\">DigiCore Holdings<\/a>, says it expects its headline earnings per share for the six months ended December 2012 will be between 51% to 59% lower than in 2011 at 4.1 cents and 4.9 cents.<\/p>\n<p>Attributable earnings will be between 4.5 cents and 5.3 cents per share or 47% to 55% lower than the comparative six month period in 2011, it said.<\/p>\n<p>DigiCore pointed to a host of factors, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reduced gross margins on sale of units to our major partners;<\/li>\n<li>The Cell Incentive Bonus coming to an end;<\/li>\n<li>An increase in operating expenses during the period under review;<\/li>\n<li>An increase in depreciation and amortization charges;<\/li>\n<li>An increase in financing charges to assist in the funding of the rental units.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cOn a positive note, we were able to increase our turnover, systems shipped and installed base, further entrenching the future annuity revenue streams.
