Online book retailer, Exclus1ves<\/a> is shutting down several channels, namely film, music and games and will focus on its core strength, books.<\/p>\n

On the 1st of March 2013, the Exclus1ves catalogue will introduce three new sections: Audiobooks, Stationery and Gifts and Special Offers.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the group cited supplier issues, performance, and value as reasons to \u201cscrap\u201d its film, music and games sections.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson said that the group will concentrate on its core strength, and pointed to the recent closure of Consumer goods retailer Look & Listen. \u201cIt\u2019s not a trend we want to follow,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Look & Listen<\/a>\u00a0has announced via its website that it will be halting all online purchases from 12 February 2013.<\/p>\n

Exclus1ves is owned by Times Media Group (TMG<\/a>), following its acquisition of Avusa<\/a> late last year.<\/p>\n

Exclusive Books.com, went live in 1999 and was replaced by Exclusives.co.za in 2010.<\/p>\n

On the 1st of March 2013, the Exclus1ves.co.za catalogue will see major changes: we will be saying goodbye to our film, music and games sections and introducing three new sections: Audiobooks, Stationery and Gifts and Special Offers.<\/p>\n

What does this mean for me?<\/p>\n

No orders for items in the film, music and games categories will be accepted after the 28th of February.<\/p>\n

If you pre-ordered a game due out later than February, we will have to cancel your order but you will get a full refund. We\u2019ll be in touch soon!<\/p>\n

Items in the film, music and games categories that are in your bag or wishlist on 28 February will be cleared on 1 March \u2013 be sure to purchase them before then.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll keep all your Smileys and Discount Stickers earned as a result of Sticker activity related to film, music and games.<\/p>\n

Your full order history will remain intact.<\/p>\n
