{"id":324131,"date":"2019-06-19T11:06:18","date_gmt":"2019-06-19T09:06:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=324131"},"modified":"2019-06-19T11:18:48","modified_gmt":"2019-06-19T09:18:48","slug":"some-fnb-customers-reported-extra-money-in-their-bank-accounts-heres-why","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/324131\/some-fnb-customers-reported-extra-money-in-their-bank-accounts-heres-why\/","title":{"rendered":"Some FNB customers reported &#8216;extra money&#8217; in their bank accounts &#8211; here&#8217;s why"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some FNB customers took to social media on Tuesday (19 June) noting an increase in their account balances.<\/p>\n<p>While some users said that their accounts were reflecting a couple of hundred rands more than usual, one user reported receiving as much as R3,600.<\/p>\n<p>In a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FNBSA?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a><\/strong>, the bank confirmed that the incorrect balances were a result of an internal error.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can confirm that the issue of incorrect balances on some of our customers\u2019 transactional accounts have been resolved,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The incorrect balances were due to delayed debit card transactions for purchases.
