South African software company DVT is set to exceed R250 million in revenue for its current financial year.<\/p>\n
DVT is a level 4 BBBEE custom-packaged software solutions provider, which offers software development, data, management and analysis services for enterprise and business in South Africa.<\/p>\n
The core software development platforms at the company are .Net, Java and Mendix.<\/p>\n
DVT founder and CEO, Chris Wilkins attributes the company’s revenue boost to “unprecedented” growth over the past two years.<\/p>\n
Wilkins added that the company\u2019s success is largely a result of sticking to its core business of software development and related services since inception.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur focus on an ownership-based business model coupled with hiring the right staff has been instrumental in this success,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Although the company’s margins have been under pressure in the industry as a whole, DVT has slowly improved the circumstances within which it operates, thereby negating some of the negative effects of the external market forces, Wilkins said.<\/p>\n
As part of the company\u2019s long-term drive to grow ICT skills in the country, Wilkins said, DVT also has a well established internship programme through which interns are managed, mentored and exposed to the right variety of projects.<\/p>\n
The programme currently provides internships to more than 60 graduates and entry-level professionals, and will continue to increase this number each year, Wilkins said.<\/p>\n
