MultiChoice<\/a> has increased the prices of some of its pay-TV subscription services, explaining that it’s part of the annual price review to accommodate the costs of running them.<\/p>\n

“We review our DStv<\/a> bouquets prices every year to accommodate the cost of the DStv service. We have revised our prices to be able to continue providing the DStv service and to accommodate our plans to enhance our products and services for the year ahead,” MultiChoice said.<\/p>\n

Following its annual price review, MultiChoice has released new subscription prices for its DStv packages which will come into effect on 1 April 2013.<\/p>\n

MultiChoice said that all DStv subscribers will be notified of the new prices via e-mail or a postal letter.<\/p>\n

It is understood that the current postal strike may delay delivery of the communication about the planned DStv price hikes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to thank you for your support of DStv during 2012. We look forward to continue to provide you with great entertainment in 2013,\u201d MultiChoice said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The pricing for DStv Premium, DStv Compact, DStv EasyView and DStv Select will increase next month, while the cost of DStv Lite and DStv Mobile will remain the same.<\/p>\n

“We have a number of exciting plans, which will further improve our overall offering \u2013 watch the space,” MultiChoice said.<\/p>\n
