Samsung South Africa and Vodacom’s business arm have entered into an agreement that will see the two companies collaborating on mobile and network infrastructure services for businesses.<\/p>\n
The partnership is aimed at providing “premium services to organisations who want to benefit from a more integrated mobile solution portfolio,” the companies said.<\/p>\n
In the partnership, Samsung devices will have customised services provided by Vodacom, catering for specific enterprise customers.<\/p>\n
Samsung will provide Vodacom with an on-site team for the provision of the services, which will be able to leverage the technology and footprint of Vodacom\u2019s network.<\/p>\n
The initial phase of the agreement is focused on mobile solutions for the enterprise, but will be extended to other multimedia devices down the line, depending on the company’s needs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe changing needs of enterprise customers are increasingly seeing organisations across industries working together to offer jointly-developed solutions that provide users with a more integrated product offering,\u201d said Paulo Ferreira, head of enterprise mobility at Samsung Electronics South Africa.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether, Samsung and Vodacom are better able to understand their customer needs and develop solutions that make strategic sense for both organisations while being matched to the requirements of enterprise users,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
