LTE on prepaid coming very soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pre-paid and Top Up customers on the Vodacom network will be able to access to Long Term Evolution (LTE) services from tomorrow (19 March 2013), according to two industry sources.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about its plans, Vodacom confirmed information that LTE activations and services won\u2019t cost anything extra, but declined to comment on when pre-paid and Top Up customers will be able to access the services.<\/p>\n<p>Users that insert their compatible 64k or 128k SIM in an LTE device will automatically have their SIM provisioned for LTE services, our sources revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the information received by MyBroadband, customers must have the following to use the LTE network:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Vodacom supported LTE device;<\/li>\n<li>A 64k or 128k SIM card in the Vodacom LTE device and as a primary SIM card;<\/li>\n<li>The LTE device APN must be set to lte.vodacom.za;<\/li>\n<li>The network mode of the device must be set to \u201cAutomatic\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>The customer needs to be in an LTE coverage area;<\/li>\n<li>iPhone 5 customers must upgrade to iOS 6.1.2;<\/li>\n<li>Once the SIM card is inserted and device switched on, the LTE service will automatically be activated within 24 hours, from Monday to Friday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The sources also said that manual activation will be possible at any time in store, by calling Customer Care or by logging in to My Account on the Vodacom website.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribers that don\u2019t have a 64k or 128k SIM will need to visit a Vodacom store and perform a
