Two online retailers have made it into Interbrand<\/a>‘s list of top retail brands in 2013.<\/p>\n

While not quite reaching into the top 3 of the best retail brands in the US, online retailers Amazon.com<\/a> and EBay<\/a> certainly made a strong showing for e-commerce by making it into the top 10 of the 50 listed brands.<\/p>\n

The Best Retail Brands report ranks the top 50 U.S. retail brands by brand value, as well as the top retail brands from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Mexico, South East Asia, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Topping the pile is US mega-store, Walmart<\/a>, which is the most valuable brand for the fifth consecutive year in the USA, valued at over $141 billion.<\/p>\n

Top e-retailer, Amazon.com, listed 4th overall, valued at 18.625 billion – while the only other online retailer in the top 10 – eBay – is at 9th, valued at $10.947 billion.<\/p>\n

Amazon increased its brand value by 46%, according to the Interbrand report, while eBay boosted its value by 12%.<\/p>\n

In mature markets, the big retailers are reassessing store portfolios and continuing to focus on multichannel strategies, Interbrand said.<\/p>\n

In the past year, the fastest growing retailers expanded into China, Japan, Korea, India, Brazil, South Africa and the UAE.<\/p>\n
