{"id":34332,"date":"2013-03-26T10:03:12","date_gmt":"2013-03-26T08:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=34332"},"modified":"2013-03-26T10:47:15","modified_gmt":"2013-03-26T08:47:15","slug":"huawei-unveils-first-sa-call-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/telecommunications\/34332\/huawei-unveils-first-sa-call-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Huawei unveils first SA call centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Huawei\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1651-Huawei-Technologies\">Huawei<\/a>, a provider of ICT solutions, has announced the launch of its first South African call centre to provide Huawei Device customers with local support.<\/p>\n<p>The China based firm is leading the pack of smartphone makers chasing Apple and Samsung.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei, which sold 32 million smartphones in 2012, up 60%on 2011, ranking third\u00a0in smartphone sales in the final quarter of 2012, according to research firm <a title=\"IDC\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/4752-International-Data-Corporation-%28IDC%29\">IDC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe creation of this call centre is a result of Huawei\u2019s growth in the South African market and is part of our entry strategy into the consumer space with our new smartphone offerings,\u201d said <a title=\"Larking Huang\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/7818-Larking-Huang\">Larking Huang<\/a>, GM, Huawei Device South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The facility will handle queries regarding Huawei smartphones, home gateways, tablets and mobile broadband.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei device customers still have the support facility available through their network service providers where the warranty for their products sit, however, this is additional technical support over and above what is offered through the operators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have an on-going commitment to put great technology within reach for more people around the world. Having our own local call centre now enables users to receive direct feedback from Huawei on any queries they may have.
