The Department of Labour has published a new notice outlining the minimum wages for workers in the wholesale and retail sectors.<\/p>\n
The changes take effect retroactively from 2 August and will now remain in place until the national minimum wage is reviewed sometime in the next year, the department said.<\/p>\n
These wages establish the minimum baseline across the sector and workers can earn significantly more based on their position and the company that they work for.<\/p>\n
Workers are also paid in accordance to what part of South Africa they are based in:<\/p>\n
