{"id":34730,"date":"2013-04-02T11:28:16","date_gmt":"2013-04-02T09:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=34730"},"modified":"2013-04-02T11:35:10","modified_gmt":"2013-04-02T09:35:10","slug":"smsportal-acquires-sms-specialist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/34730\/smsportal-acquires-sms-specialist\/","title":{"rendered":"SMSPortal acquires SMS Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SMSPortal, a bulk SMS provider, has signed an agreement to acquire SMS Specialist.<\/p>\n<p>Based in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, SMSPortal says the acquisition will build upon its customer base and give the SMS Specialist client base access to a wider product offering.<\/p>\n<p>SMSPortal\u2019s acquisition of SMS Specialist was effective as from the\u00a0beginning of\u00a0April, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Stretch, MD of SMSPortal said of the purchase: \u201cWe have been in discussions with SMS Specialist for six months, and pleased to announce the acquisition. The 3,000 SMS Specialist clients will benefit from additional products and services, have access to better technology and improved user experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Entirely web-based, the SMS gateway designed by SMSPortal is secure, and capable of sending a high number of messages.
