Financial services company Investec has announced the launch of its mobile banking and trading tablet application (app).<\/p>\n
The Investec iPad App offers a secure, \u2018real-time\u2019 banking and trading platform, including a consolidated account dashboard where clients can view all the relevant information for their Investec Private Banking and global Wealth & Investment accounts.<\/p>\n
Clients with Private Bank accounts domiciled in South Africa will be able to view their balances and transactions, as well as make payments.<\/p>\n
Wealth & Investment clients will be able to view their global portfolios, browse market data; and buy and sell JSE listed equities.<\/p>\n
Lyndon Subroyen, CIO of Investec Wealth & Investment, who is also driving the Digital programme for Investec said: \u201cThis is the first in a series of developments that use digital innovation to make banking and investing easier for our private clients, especialily for those who tend to be on the move.”<\/p>\n

The app will be available for free download from the Apple App Store (South Africa only to begin with).<\/p>\n
