{"id":351145,"date":"2019-11-05T06:46:45","date_gmt":"2019-11-05T04:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=351145"},"modified":"2019-11-05T06:46:45","modified_gmt":"2019-11-05T04:46:45","slug":"here-is-the-official-petrol-price-for-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/351145\/here-is-the-official-petrol-price-for-november\/","title":{"rendered":"Here is the official petrol price for November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Energy has published the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cefgroup.co.za\/phocadownload\/monthly_updates\/Press%20Release%2001%20Nov%202019%20Change%206%20Nov%202019.pdf\">official petrol price changes<\/a> <\/strong>for November 2019, with decreases across the board.<\/p>\n<p>The price of petrol 93 and 95 will drop by 13 cents per litre, while diesel will drop by 14 and 16 cents per litre for 0.005% and 0.05% Sulphur content, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Illuminating paraffin will see its per litre price drop by 23 cents (wholesale), and LPGAS will drop by 30 cents per kilogram.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Petrol 93<\/strong> &#8211; decrease by 13 cents per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Petrol 95<\/strong> &#8211; decrease by 13 cents per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diesel 0.05%<\/strong> &#8211; decrease by 16 cents per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diesel 0.005%<\/strong> &#8211; decrease by 14 cents per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Illuminating paraffin<\/strong> &#8211; decrease by 23 cents per litre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The price cuts come as international petroleum prices decreased over the period under review, the department said.<\/p>\n<p>The cuts would have been slightly larger, had the rand performed better against the US dollar over the same period, however.<\/p>\n<p>The rand depreciated against the US dollar during the period under review, on average, when compared to the previous period.
