{"id":356589,"date":"2019-11-24T07:44:30","date_gmt":"2019-11-24T05:44:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=356589"},"modified":"2019-11-24T07:44:30","modified_gmt":"2019-11-24T05:44:30","slug":"takealot-launches-early-black-friday-2019-deals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/black-friday\/356589\/takealot-launches-early-black-friday-2019-deals\/","title":{"rendered":"Takealot launches early Black Friday 2019 deals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Online retailer Takealot has launched its early access deals for Black Friday 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The group said that its Early Access Blue Dot Sale will run from\u00a024-28 November and will feature &#8216;excellent deals&#8217; which will not be beaten over the Black Friday period.<\/p>\n<p>It added that new deals will be posted at the following times over the Black Friday\/Cyber Monday weekend:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>00h01 on Friday (29 November) \u2013 All deals unlocked<\/li>\n<li>06h00 on Saturday (30 November) \u2013 More deals added<\/li>\n<li>06h00 on Sunday (1 December) \u2013 More deals added<\/li>\n<li>06h00 on Monday (2 December) \u2013 Cyber Monday tech deals<\/li>\n<li>06h00 on Tuesday (3 December) \u2013 Takealot Tuesday deals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All the deals can be accessed on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.takealot.com\/?utm_source=MyBroadband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Takealot\u2019s mobile app<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biggest Black Friday ever\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Takealot chief executive officer Kim Reid said that he is anticipating the biggest Black Friday yet, a culmination of months of tech and operational business-wide focus to prepare for increased predicted traffic and shopper volumes.<\/p>\n<p>Takealot\u2019s Black Friday gross merchandise value (GMV) grew 125% from 2017 to 2018, with orders up 127%.
