{"id":364156,"date":"2020-01-06T13:54:11","date_gmt":"2020-01-06T11:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=364156"},"modified":"2020-01-06T13:54:11","modified_gmt":"2020-01-06T11:54:11","slug":"where-to-get-your-2019-matric-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/government\/364156\/where-to-get-your-2019-matric-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Where to get your 2019 matric results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Basic Education will release the class of 2019\u2019s National Senior Certificate matric results on 7 January 2019, with individual learner results available on the morning of 8 January.<\/p>\n<p>Umalusi, the council for quality assurance in general and further education and training, has officially approved the results with no systemic irregularities reported.<\/p>\n<p>The class of 2019 was the sixth Grade 12 cohort to write final examinations under the Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS).<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the class of 2019 entered Grade 1 in 2008 when the NSC was written for the first time in Grade 12. It was also the second cohort to write the newly introduced technical and technology subjects as well as South African Sign Language Home Language.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to get your results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Learners can access their results (or register to receive them) in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learners can obtain their results directly from the schools or learning facilities at which the exams were written. These results may only be available after 12h00 on the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Learners can access their results directly by logging onto the\u00a0Department of Basic Education\u2019s website<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.education.gov.za\/MatricResults\/ExamResults\/tabid\/175\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here.<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Alternatively, students who took the IEB examinations can access their results from the IEB website\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieb-online.co.za\/asp\/login.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A number of online\u00a0news websites will publish the results \u2013 including\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/matricresults.news24.com\/\">News24\u2019s <\/a><\/strong>Matric Results page<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Download the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=za.co.kwins.matmate20&amp;hl=en_ZA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MatricsMate App<\/a><\/strong> for free from Google Play and Apple App Stores.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>SMS your exam number to the SABC&#8217;s 45856. The system verifies the exam number; your exam number must be correct in order to be accepted. Learners will be charged R1-50 per SMS, free SMSes do not apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Dial *120*45856# enter exam number to register.
