{"id":369684,"date":"2020-01-31T07:07:17","date_gmt":"2020-01-31T05:07:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=369684"},"modified":"2020-01-31T07:10:25","modified_gmt":"2020-01-31T05:10:25","slug":"eskom-implements-stage-2-load-shedding-until-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/369684\/eskom-implements-stage-2-load-shedding-until-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom implements stage 2 load shedding until Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eskom has announced that stage 2 load shedding will continue from 09:00 today and throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Friday (31 January), the embattled power utility said that the blackouts will only stop at 06h00 on Monday morning (3 February).<\/p>\n<p>Eskom said the power cuts were due to a shortage of capacity and the depletion of emergency resources which were used to supplement supply over the last couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unplanned outages were at 12,722MW as at 05h30 this morning.
