launches pre-paid fibre service in Soweto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vumatel has launched its new Vuma Reach product in Soweto, offering pre-paid fibre to residents in the township.<\/p>\n<p>The fibre packages are available on a pre-paid basis from Internet Service Providers (ISPs), with residents not being tied into a contract, giving them the freedom to buy services for data as and when they choose.<\/p>\n<p>Vumatel said that these fibre services offered by the ISPs will give every home in the Vuma Fibre network:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>20\/10Mbps uncapped internet connection;<\/li>\n<li>FREE in-home fibre installation and Wi-Fi enabled device;<\/li>\n<li>24\/7 availability and support;<\/li>\n<li>No long contracts;<\/li>\n<li>Pre-paid service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Soweto.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \u2013 and is priced at R399 per month.<\/p>\n<p>The service offers download and upload speeds of 20Mbps and 10Mbps respectively with no fair usage policy.<\/p>\n<p>This offering is summarised below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download Speed \u2013 <strong>20Mbps<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Upload Speed \u2013 <strong>10Mbps<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Price per month \u2013 <strong>R399<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Vuma Reach customers will also get the following, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webafrica.co.za\/vuma-reach-fibre#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Webafrica\u2019s website<\/strong><\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Free installation worth R999<\/li>\n<li>Free Phone Calls \u2013 30 min\/month<\/li>\n<li>Free Router<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 30 minutes of free phone calls every month are a VoIP service offered by Webafrica and are bundled with its Vuma Reach fibre package.<\/p>\n<p>Webafrica stated that its package is purchased on a month-to-month basis, which means there are no cancellation penalties or credit checks.<\/p>\n<p>Soweto is the latest area to be covered by Vuma Reach, which also has coverage in Vosloorus, Tshwane,
