{"id":379863,"date":"2020-03-09T07:54:28","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T05:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=379863"},"modified":"2020-03-09T07:54:28","modified_gmt":"2020-03-09T05:54:28","slug":"eskom-announces-stage-one-load-shedding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/379863\/eskom-announces-stage-one-load-shedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom announces stage one load shedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eskom says it will institute stage 1 load shedding from 09h00 &#8211; 23h00 on Monday (9 March) following a number of unplanned breakdowns.<\/p>\n<p>The power utility said that the power cuts will likely continue until Thursday (12 March) as its units come back online.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Implementing load shedding will put Eskom in a better position to meet the rising demand during the week. Work is also continuing to return to service some of the unplanned breakdowns we experienced.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The system is currently constrained, unpredictable and vulnerable.
