{"id":39187,"date":"2013-06-02T11:08:05","date_gmt":"2013-06-02T09:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=39187"},"modified":"2013-06-02T11:09:16","modified_gmt":"2013-06-02T09:09:16","slug":"golden-handshake-for-suspended-sabc-head-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/media\/39187\/golden-handshake-for-suspended-sabc-head-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Golden handshake for suspended SABC head: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Suspended SABC head of news, Phil Molefe, has left the broadcaster after receiving a reported R1.5 million golden handshake as part of a settlement.<\/p>\n<p>Molefe reached a settlement with the interim SABC board, which the Sunday Independent reported includes that he would drop his ongoing case against the broadcaster.<\/p>\n<p>SABC spokesman, Kaizer Kganyago, confirmed that an agreement had been reached, but did not comment on the details.<\/p>\n<p>Molefe was placed on special leave on April 10 last year.
