Kagiso Media\u00a0has appointed\u00a0Mark Harris as the company\u00b4s CEO effective 1 August\u00a02013, replacing\u00a0Murphy Morobe.<\/p>\n

Kagiso has the\u00a0www.howzit.msn.com portal in its stable, along with several high profile radio titles including East Coast Radio,\u00a0Jacaranda FM 94.2, and Kaya FM.<\/p>\n

Harris\u00a0spent 30 years with IBM in various capacities\u00a0both in South Africa as managing director of the South\u00a0African operations and more recently he has operated in
\nexpanding operations in 18 African countries.<\/p>\n

“Mark has\u00a0engaged strategically to consider integrated and\u00a0converged channels in the ICT sector which experience\u00a0will be invaluable to Kagiso Media as it develops its\u00a0digital strategy,”\u00a0Kagiso said.<\/p>\n

“He brings strong strategic and\u00a0operational experience to the group.\u00a0Until Mark assumes office, Omar Essack, the CEO of the\u00a0Broadcasting Division will be acting as Group CEO”.<\/p>\n
