{"id":42466,"date":"2013-07-21T08:58:15","date_gmt":"2013-07-21T06:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=42466"},"modified":"2013-07-22T09:59:54","modified_gmt":"2013-07-22T07:59:54","slug":"anc-considers-tablets-for-schools-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/government\/42466\/anc-considers-tablets-for-schools-report\/","title":{"rendered":"ANC considers tablets for schools: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a title=\"ANC\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/2387-ANC-African-National-Congress\">ANC<\/a> is considering supplying tablet PCs to public schools, sources have told the Sunday Times.<\/p>\n<p>This would be in a bid to prevent a repeat of the Limpopo textbook crisis, which marred the party&#8217;s reputation last year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, the idea for putting tablets in the hands of schools came from the ANC&#8217;s executive committee lekgotla taking place in Irene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the easiest way of resolving the textbook issue. In one tablet, you can download a number of books. It is also cheaper.
