{"id":430040,"date":"2020-08-31T14:01:58","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T12:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=430040"},"modified":"2020-08-31T14:01:58","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T12:01:58","slug":"here-is-the-official-petrol-price-for-september-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/430040\/here-is-the-official-petrol-price-for-september-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Here is the official petrol price for September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Energy has published the official fuel price adjustments for September 2020, showing a marginal increase for petrol drivers, and a sizeable drop for diesel.<\/p>\n<p>According to the department, the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cefgroup.co.za\/phocadownload\/monthly_updates\/Press%20Release%2028%20Aug%202020%20Change%2002%20Sept%202020.pdf\">adjustments<\/a> will be made on Wednesday (2 September):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Petrol 93:<\/strong> increase of 1 cent per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Petrol 95:<\/strong> increase of 1 cent per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diesel 0.05%:<\/strong> decrease of 21 cents per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diesel 0.005%:<\/strong> decrease of 21 cents per litre<\/li>\n<li><strong>Illuminating paraffin:<\/strong> decrease of 26 cents per litre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The average international product prices for Petrol, Diesel and Illuminating Paraffin decreased during the period under review, the department said, while the rand ended the month weaker against the dollar.<\/p>\n<p>The rand depreciated against the US dollar during the period under review, on average, when compared to the previous period.
