Former lawyer of president Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, has outlined alleged incidents of racism in a new book – including his thoughts on South Africa, and former president and struggle icon Nelson Mandela.<\/p>\n
Cohen’s tell-all memoir, as reported in the Washington Post<\/a>, alleges that Trump made numerous racist remarks directed at his predecessor, Barack Obama, saying that he only got into Columbia University and Harvard Law School because of \u201caffirmative action\u201d.<\/p>\n Trump, according to Cohen, had \u201chatred and contempt\u201d for Obama, while he alleges that the US president also has a \u201clow opinion of all black folks\u201d.<\/p>\n The US president, according to the article, said in a rant about Obama: \u201cTell me one country run by a black person that isn\u2019t a s—hole. They are all complete f—ing toilets.\u201d<\/p>\n And following the death of former president Nelson Mandela, in 2013, Trump allegedly said he did not think Mandela \u201cwas a real leader \u2014 not the kind he respected.”<\/p>\n Cohen alleged that Trump praised apartheid-era South Africa rule, saying: \u201cMandela f—ed the whole country up. Now it\u2019s a s—hole. F— Mandela. He was no leader.\u201d<\/p>\n White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement Saturday: \u201cMichael Cohen is a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer, who lied to Congress. He has lost all credibility, and it\u2019s unsurprising to see his latest attempt to profit off of lies.\u201d<\/p>\n As far back as 2013, Trump, using his preferred medium, Twitter, called South Africa a \u2018crime-ridden mess ready to explode\u2019.
