{"id":43925,"date":"2013-08-09T08:42:52","date_gmt":"2013-08-09T06:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=43925"},"modified":"2013-08-09T08:46:37","modified_gmt":"2013-08-09T06:46:37","slug":"yahoo-1-1-billion-tumblr-buyout-details-emerge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/43925\/yahoo-1-1-billion-tumblr-buyout-details-emerge\/","title":{"rendered":"Yahoo $1.1 billion Tumblr buyout details emerge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blogging service Tumblr had just $16.6 million in cash when Yahoo Inc. bought it last May for $1.1 billion, a Yahoo regulatory filing showed Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The deal for Tumblr was the largest since Yahoo Chief Executive Marissa Mayer took the role in July with a focus on reversing a long decline in Yahoo&#8217;s business and web traffic.
