{"id":43989,"date":"2013-08-12T10:39:43","date_gmt":"2013-08-12T08:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=43989"},"modified":"2013-08-12T10:59:11","modified_gmt":"2013-08-12T08:59:11","slug":"cell-c-appoints-new-cfo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/mobile\/43989\/cell-c-appoints-new-cfo\/","title":{"rendered":"Cell C appoints new CFO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa&#8217;s third mobile operator <a title=\"Cell C\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1641-Cell-C\">Cell C<\/a> has announced that its chief strategy officer, <a title=\"Robert Pasley\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/6902-Robert-Pasley\">Robert Pasley<\/a> has agreed to take up a combined position of chief financial and strategy officer with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>A qualified chartered accountant and theoretical physicist, Pasley has a wealth of experience in the financial intricacies of the telecommunications industry, Cell C said.<\/p>\n<p>In 1993, Pasley was involved in the development of <a title=\"Vodacom\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/1639-Vodacom\">Vodacom<\/a>\u2019s original business plan and played a role in several large-scale business acquisitions in the telecommunications space.<\/p>\n<p>His experience includes, group executive of finance and director of corporate strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Before he joined Cell C, Pasley owned and ran his own strategy consulting business, which consulted to several high-profile South African businesses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased that Robert agreed to accept the position.
