{"id":445878,"date":"2020-11-04T14:16:45","date_gmt":"2020-11-04T12:16:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=445878"},"modified":"2020-11-04T14:16:45","modified_gmt":"2020-11-04T12:16:45","slug":"eskom-warns-of-major-outages-in-gauteng","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/445878\/eskom-warns-of-major-outages-in-gauteng\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom warns of major outages in Gauteng"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Power utility Eskom said Wednesday (4 November), that it is attending to <span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-1qd0xha r-ad9z0x r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\"> major outages in Gauteng,<\/span>\u00a0caused by &#8216;multiple network faults&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Eskom said that the areas of Lanseria, Morningside, Mulderdrift, Paulshof, Petervale, Soweto and Zandspruit are experiencing an &#8216;extended power supply interruption&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>This, it said, is due to faults on its network, coupled with storms affecting the areas.<\/p>\n<p>The South African Weather Service warned of thunderstorms in Gauteng on Wednesday, leading to possible flooding.
