Kulula and British Airways have launched a flight sale, offering tickets on domestic flights for under R500 until 24 November 2020 at 23h59.<\/p>\n

The airline said that the tickets are one-way and include a free 20kg checked bag and the discounts are available for the travel periods between 1 December 2020 to 20 October 2021.<\/p>\n

On Monday (23 November) Comair opened bookings for domestic British Airways flights in South Africa, with plans to begin operating again on 9 December.<\/p>\n

Comair said that regional services will be reintroduced as it ramps up to full operations over the next few months.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith reservations for the British Airways\u2019 flights open we\u2019re now able to offer bookings on a considerably expanded schedule.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs well as giving customers the choice of booking on either of our airline brands and a greater range of competitive fares, they now also have the option of booking in business class,\u201d said Glenn Orsmond, representing the Comair Rescue Consortium.<\/p>\n

The reintroduction of British Airways\u2019 flights will also see the reopening of the group\u2019s SLOW lounges.<\/p>\n

Initially, the domestic lounges at King Shaka International, Cape Town International and OR Tambo International will open. The other lounges will reopen as the flight schedule expands.<\/p>\n

Orsmond says that Comair will initially operate a fleet of fifteen aircraft across both airline brands gradually increasing as the remainder of the fleet returns to service over the next few months.<\/p>\n

Kulula has said that it will begin to ramp up operations in the coming weeks and gradually return aircraft to service from Mid January to June 2021.<\/p>\n

The airline will start with a reduced fleet and as the demand increases, aims to have a full flight schedule by June 2021.<\/p>\n
